DC08 Case seal
The case seal from Vacuum Spot allowed me to fit an alternative new motor to an otherwise retired Dyson DC08 that parts were not available for. Seal was a perfect fit, and the old DC08 lives on. Great service, good product. (Posted on 24/08/15)

My original motor was the UDS1554CNA, which i've also seen called MAT/PANA. I assume they are all the same. I therefore suspect this seal adapter will allow me to use the YDK motor, but which one will fit? You list two motors, one (M044) is 2cm higher than the other (M048). Also, the M048 appears to have similar dimensions to my original motor - do i need the seal conversion if i were to purchase the M048?

Either motor can be used for the DC08 model vacuum.

You will notice in the video below that the motor taken out has no shaft and the motor that is put in has a shaft. We carry the two types of motors as some customer prefer a non Chinese alternative.


The slight differences in the measurements of your motor to these 2 motors shouldn't matter.
