Hi Folks,

Just the other day a lady asked me to service her Dyson DC05 vacuum as it seemed to have lost a lot of suction. I dutifully completed the vacuum service and, as always, I replaced the filters.  In this particular case, replacing these filters was super important, because to be completely honest, they were in really bad shape. When I spoke with her I offered my usual stand out customer service, if I do say so myself! As we had our friendly vacuum chat, I gently broke the news of the tragic situation that had been hidden away inside her vacuum cleaner:  a big part of the problem with her machine was that it looked like those filters had never been touched.  She took the news well, and admitted that this was in fact the case...   She told me that she didn’t even know her machine had filters so it never occurred to her to look after them.

I know I have written before about proper care of your Dyson filters, but since it was on my mind I thought I would upload a video so it was even easier to see what to do. Have a good look at that video, and be honest with yourself...  If you realise you probably should change your filters, then follow your conscience... we will support you in this process of vacuum redemption, because of course, we have brand new vacuum filters for you.

There are two types of Dyson DC05 as far as filters are concerned

  1. DC05 with Hepa filters

Will use 1 standard DC05 washable filter (DDFILTD-1)
& 1 DC05 HEPA filter (DDFILTD-2)
Or if you need both the Dyson DC05 Hepa Filter Pack is available (DD0508HEPApack)

  1. DC05 with standard filters

Will use 1 standard DC05 washable filter (part number DDFILTD-1) & 1 Standard DC05 post motor filter (DDFILT-6)
Which again is available together as a DC05 standard filter pack (DD0508stdpack)

All of these products are available on our Dyson DC05 filter page.

If you need advice on your vacuum I would love to help,  just respond to the blog or send me an email. I will do everything in my power to get a response to you quickly.
